The Silenos Pro from Raijintek represents a premium, virtually transparent, Midi-Tower design that diverges from Raijintek's previous efforts in spectacular form. Visually, the Silenos Pro manages to impress with its use of hardened glass, which covers the entire front of the case as well as the side windows. Additionally, the Silenos Pro comes equipped with two pre-installed 200 mm RGB-LED fans on the front as well as another 120 mm LED fan on the back of the unit. The case also manages to provide plenty of space for powerful gaming hardware and all the water-cooling solutions you care to think mention.

DESIGNER TEMPERED GLASS SIDE WINDOWS IN THE RAIJINTEK SILENOS PRO MIDI-TOWER

The Raijintek Silenos Pro makes no bones about its intentions to be the perfect case for a heavy-duty gaming setup, while also looking the part to boot. Raijintek opted for a premium and robust 0.6 mm-thick steel chassis with a black paint finish. The case also includes two large tempered glass side windows that allow an unobstructed panorama-style view of the interior, and all the high-end hardware you choose to install. Even the front of the case is equipped with a tempered glass pane, the glass panels certainly pack a punch, making it very clear that this case is about offering the best looks and showing off your hardware at its best.

AIR- OR WATER COOLING IN THE RAIJINTEK SILENOS PRO

For active airflow, Raijintek has included a pre-installed 120 mm fan, which is then supported by the addition of two further (huge) 200mm fans in the front. This means your hardware will benefit from excellent airflow, reliably cooling even the hottest hardware. All three pre-installed fans include ring-shaped RGB lighting with dRGB-LEDs to round out the overall look. If necessary however, the Midi-Tower does offer enough space to expand the air cooling system to up to a total of six 120 mm fans or four 140 mm fans. Two of these 120- or 140 mm fans can be attached to the roof. Above them lies a honeycomb mesh as well as a magnetic dust filter.

Thanks to the relatively large dimensions of the Midi-Tower case, it also makes a great candidate for anyone considering some high-end water-cooling gear. The front of the case supports a radiator up to 360 mm or 280 mm in size, while the roof has enough space to support either a 280- or 240 mm radiator. The Silenos Pro has also benefited from Raijintek's decision to include a range of choices for when it comes to installing new drives. A modular HDD cage beneath the PSU shroud allows for two 3.5"- or two 2.5" drives. A 2.5" drive can also be attached to the reverse side of the motherboard tray, and two more on the front. Finally, the PSU shroud offers support for three more 2.5" drives.

SMART DESIGN AND PLENTY OF SPACE FOR GAMING HARDWARE

The interior of the 7.8 kg Raijintek Silenos Pro proves itself to be pleasantly spacious, because in addition to the ATX, Micro-ATX, or Mini-ITX motherboard, the case also supports high-end power supplies, GPUs up to 32 cm long and CPU coolers up to 16.6 cm tall. What is especially useful and appreciated is the increased amount of space located behind the motherboard tray for the sake of easier cable management. Raijintek has certainly succeeded in setting a high bar when it comes to usability as well, for example, the dust filters are also easy to remove and clean - meaning that your system will operate cooler for longer without the unnecessary ingress of dust and other debris.

Moreover, the Silenos Pro comes equipped with motherboard spacers and a large cut-out in the motherboard tray to make swapping coolers far more convenient than previously. The I/O panel in the front section of the roof of the case includes two USB 2.0 ports, one USB 3.0 Type A connector and one HD audio connector. The integrated controller for the digitally addressable RGB lighting of the fans can accommodate a total of six RGB components with standard 5VDG pins, and this is controlled by means of a switch on the I/O pane. Alternatively, the RGB lighting can be connected and controlled using an appropriately equipped motherboard.
